ARRESTA Explore Products
Dusk over the Europabrücke on the Brenner motorway, lorries crossing the viaduct toward the Alps.

Forty tonnes.
Brought to rest.

ABS, EBS, calipers and discs for European trucks and trailers. Engineered for the long descent.

80 km/h, forty tonnes, southbound.
That is 9.9 megajoules in motion.

Every joule of it leaves through the brakes.
As heat.

ABS

Grip, held at the edge.

On packed snow a locked wheel stops steering. ARRESTA ABS watches every braked wheel through its own speed sensor. The moment one starts to lock, the modulator releases and reapplies pressure, many times a second, so the wheel keeps turning and the driver keeps the line.

EBS

The pedal becomes a signal.

Electronic braking sets pressure axle by axle the instant the pedal moves, then tells the trailer to brake in step over the ISO 11992 link. Load sensing puts the work where the weight is.

Tractor and trailer, braking as one.

No push from behind, no jack-knife from a trailer that brakes late.

Calipers

Clamp force from a single stroke.

The brake chamber pushes a lever, the lever drives two thrust plates, and the pads close on the disc. An automatic adjuster keeps the running clearance constant as the pads wear, so the pedal feels the same on the last kilometre of the pads as on the first.

Discs

Where the energy goes.

430 mm, internally ventilated. Radial vanes pump air through the disc every turn it makes.

High-carbon grey iron, chosen to hold its shape when it glows.

A separate hat lets the friction ring grow with the heat, without pulling the hub along.
